Barb Stewart and Linda McLaren had an exhibit table at the UTE Conference September 22 to 24, 2022 at the Delta Hotel in Ottawa. It was the first in-person event since the pandemic hit in 2020. There were over 100 UTE members there and it was great to see people in person again. Lots of familiar faces and just as many new faces.
UTE is one of the sponsors of our calendars and they were the first to receive copies of the 2023 calendar for distribution. They also purchased 100 copies of the book, It Should Be Easy to Fix, by Bonnie Robichaud through us to also hand out at the conference.
We held a 50/50 draw each day and also had 12 litres of maple syrup available for sale. The UTE members kept Linda and I busy tearing tickets apart for the draws. All 12 litres of syrup were sold. It was a very successful event for the Museum.
The Museum is very pleased with the continuing support from UTE and we look forward to attending the Equal Opportunities Conference in November and the next Presidents’ Conference in March 2023.
